Article selection rules
Who selects the articles
Article selection for publication is carried out by the journal's editorial board and editorial council. Overall management of the publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
Forming the editorial council
The Editor-in-Chief, together with the Deputy Director for Research, forms the editorial council, which includes the chief and scientific editors, section editors and members of the editorial boards.
Two scientific directions
The editorial board is formed along two scientific directions: technical sciences and economic sciences.
Appointment of editors
The Editor-in-Chief is appointed and dismissed by order of the Director of FGBNU «Rosinformagrotech» on the recommendation of the Deputy Director for Research. The scientific editor, section editors and board members are engaged by order of the Director on the recommendation of the Editor-in-Chief.
Functions of the editorial office
The journal's editorial office is the main organizational and technical unit responsible for producing the journal and performs the following functions:
- receiving, registering and storing incoming articles and accompanying materials;
- maintaining publication priority and the issue schedule at every stage of preparation and distribution;
- quality control of articles and materials, proofreading and copyediting;
- electronic typesetting of articles for the journal's website and for indexing in RSCI;
- ensuring the journal is published in print;
- record-keeping and document management for the journal;
- distributing mandatory copies and mailing the journal to subscribers and relevant organizations under the approved mailing list;
- submitting published materials to Russian and international scientometric databases;
- checking materials planned for publication for improper borrowing;
- registering the journal and updating its registration data with Roskomnadzor and the Russian Book Chamber.
Publication ethics
The legal basis for the journal's publication ethics comprises international standards: the provisions adopted at the 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity (Singapore, 22–24 July 2010); the provisions developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE); and the rules of the «Copyright» section of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
Publication ethics is a system of standards of professional conduct governing the relationships between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers and readers in the process of creating, disseminating and using scientific publications.
